Minnie Mouse!!!

The perfect end to our visit to California -- we met Russi Taylor, the voice of my favorite Disney character, Minnie Mouse!!!!! I was so gobsmacked that I couldn't speak. I didn't even tell her that I was Minnie for three Halloweens & for the Disney half marathon. My mind went blank when she spoke in Minnie! AND she had pink hair like I've always wanted....my my my;)

Airstream mishaps, but the show goes on!

Wow, yesterday our rock guard window shattered and blew off the Airstream. No injuries to the cars behind us. And everyone was so nice checking on us. Today, the fridge decided to be intermittent...we hope it will hang on until the fall. No time for repairs til then! But the show goes on & we are excited to be back in Fort Stockton, TX! It is such a friendly place. Giving a concert will be a nice respite from the recent camper misadventures! Tonight, 7pm.

More from our Buffalo Gap, TX, recording sessions. Billy is in the control room here, also known as The Great Outdoors at Abilene State Park. I am in the vocal booth also known as our galley. This sure is a lot of fun!!! And it's a great way to keep our recording chops while we are touring.

Portable recording studio

From my "booth" in our Airstream recording studio:) we decided to try some tracking on the road during fallow times on this tour. Today's control room is the gorgeous Abilene State Park, Texas.

It's ok if you can't do everything before a tour

Cyrus says: We were much too busy to do a good grocery run before we left Nashville. Not to worry. The great thing about life on the road is all of the chances to do the same things we do at home, but in different towns. Today we got some excellent Bombay spiced crunchy chickpeas & guitar strings all within view of the Dallas Cowboy's stadium. Now on to Abilene where we will perhaps record some new songs...

On our way out west!

Tonight, 7pm, Conway, AR @ The Faulkner Van Buren Library! First concert of the tour! New CD is in hand!

Tuesday, April 9, 2013

Hey everyone! It has been an age since I posted here. The FL/AL tour turned out to be super busy and we were both sick for a week during one of our two free times. Then we got back to Nashville and went right into an intensive few weeks of finishing the Live CD that we recorded out west last year. Once we sent that off, we turned our attention to taxes and preparing for what is turning out to be a five month long tour! Whoa!

The great news is that the new CD is here! So, I have the scoop on how you can order it direct through us.

Two ways to order the new CD for folks here in the USA: First you can send $18 (CD, postage, etc, included) to jeniandbilly@gmail.com on Paypal. Please include your address in the notes and if you would like the CD signed and what names to include when we are signing it. Or you can send a check for $18 to Jeni & Billy to my parents who are handling our mail while we are on tour and they will let us know you are paid up. For their address, just message me. We'll have the CD up on CDbaby, Itunes, etc in a few weeks, but this will work in the meantime and we actually get to keep more of the sale in this scenario too which is always nice! Folks in Canada and the UK, I am not sure what to do since the postage to Canada is $7.50 and to the UK, $9.50. That adds quite a sum to a $15 CD. Message me if you want to go this route or you can wait until we reach you on tour this year!

I did make one very special sewing project during the few days we had off before the Disney Princess Half-Marathon in FL. And I will share that sometime on down the road. It's still a work in progress . . .

Smiles,

Jeni

Our Lady Prayer Pillow

I made this pillow for our very special friend Anet! We share a love of Our Lady. I embellished the front with sequins. The back has two pockets for prayers to be slipped inside. And pompoms just seemed to complete the picture. This is one of my favorite things I have ever made because of its intended recipient & because it was my own idea from scratch. I want to make more prayer pillows!
